About Theo

Hey, I'm Theo Mazziotta - the biggest book nerd and advocate for young readers out there! I'm not your average teen - I'm a total bookworm, a reading ninja, and a die-hard lover of all things literary.

My ultimate goal is to share my passion for books with young kids and teens all over the globe to get them hooked on reading too!

I grew up in a tiny town near San Francisco and in 3rd grade I had to take English as a Second Language (ESL) at school since I was a native French speaker. Even though I rocked it in school, I was bummed that I couldn’t be in the same English class as my buddies.

Reading became more than just a hobby – it was a way for me to learn about the world and improve my English. I began reading more books, spending hours at the library, and expanding my vocabulary. With my nose buried in books, I soon developed a love for all kinds of literature, from mystery novels to science fiction, mythology, and more!

After lots of hard work, my English skills improved, and I finally got back into the regular class. It was a dream come true to be back with my peeps and have more in-depth discussions and activities.

My past challenges and my love for books inspired me to create the GOAT Library – a total haven for book-loving kids! Now, I’m on a mission to help libraries and books reach more kids and change their lives. Not just for ESL students, but for all kids.

My Mission

My main focus is to recommend books that kids and teenagers like me will love. From action-packed thrillers to heartwarming coming-of-age tales, The GOAT Library has it all! Readers can explore different genres, authors, and themes, and find their next favorite book with ease. We also encourage donations to our local Marin Library as well as a Polynesian School we are partnered with. By donating, you can help ensure that everyone has access to a wide range of books and can enjoy the same reading experiences that we do.
